For Jane A. Wilson of Wallblake, the age of 75 years is a time to celebrate and so she got together with her children and friends for a Service of Thanksgiving which was held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church on Sunday afternoon, February 18.

There the Right Reverend Bishop Errol Brooks said, at the outset of his homily: “We join in thanking God for all His goodness and we pray His blessing upon her - pray that she will be responsive to what God is doing in her life. We in this parish are grateful to have her as one of our members, one who is always willing to assist, one who is bent on dancing in God’s Kingdom. We pray that God would help us to emulate her example and so we rejoice with her.”

Bishop Brooks based his homily on the Apostle Paul’s admonition to the Philippians to rejoice always.
During the short service, Mrs. Wilson was the recipient of a bouquet of flowers from the St. Mary’s Flower Arrangers. She thanked her children, friends and fellow parishioners for joining with her in celebrating her 75th birthday.
