Caribbean Cable Communications Announces Upgrade Of Internet Service

Caribbean Cable Communications in Anguilla announced on Wednesday, September 7, that all their customers are now routed on their microwave system that makes use of the SMITCOM fibre link to Puerto Rico. Additionally, the Company has retained its satellite link to ensure redundancy should there be any problems with the microwave.

This will improve not only the quality and speed of the present Internet service to all their customers, but also the reliability of the service. Furthermore, Caribbean Cable has servers not only in Anguilla but also in Atlanta, which again assures the reliability of the system.

In making the announcement, Mrs. Owen, Director of Operations for the Company, said, “We are committed to responding to our customer’s queries and recommendations to enhance our existing service. We all know how frustrating it is when you cannot get on-line and having a redundant system addresses this issue. We also know how important it is to be able to contact someone when you have a problem and so we offer a 24-hour, 7-days/week help line. Our Company and our staff are committed to ensuring the satisfaction of our customers.”

Mrs. Owen continued by saying, “Cable broadband technology utilizes the same network as our cable services and is therefore not limited by distance requirements like ADSL technologies. If you are a cable customer, you can have Internet access, no matter where you are located on the island.”
