Sunset Homes Hold 3rd Successful Fun Day

Sunset Homes, a company in Anguilla involved in design construction and villa rentals, sponsored its third annual Fun Day for school children in the Stoney Ground area on Sunday, August 28. The highly successful community event attracted a large number of youngsters who competed in various sporting activities.

Company operators of Sunset Homes, Ian (Sugar George) and Janine Edwards, teamed up with a number of persons in the community as well as staff members to organise the Fun Day activities. As is always the case, the competitive games were held just before school resumes and the gifts distributed were various educational supplies coming in handy for the students.

The male and female valedictorians were Angelo Charles aged 6 and Iseshyln Joseph aged 7 each of whom received school supplies worth US$75.

The gifts were distributed by Minister of Social Development, Evans Rogers, who joined the young people in participating in the tug of war. He congratulated Sunset Homes for its involvement in the lives of the youth and for giving back something to the community.

Mrs. Edwards was grateful to a number of persons in the community, including Pastor and Mrs. Bernard, Alma Rogers, Joan Joseph and other hard-working persons who assisted in organising what she described as “the great communal event.”

“As a company, we at Sunset Homes have decided to invest most of our charitable support in the youth,” Mrs. Edwards said. “They show much promise for development and there is need among the youth to keep them occupied in productive activities. Everybody loves kids and we want to lend our support in that area.”
