Rochelle has been modeling in the United States for the past eighteen years and appearing in such prestigious magazines as American Bride. She and her infant son, Emerson, have also recently been featured in another magazine American Baby. She told The Anguillian that she decided to have her wedding in Anguilla because her family was from the island. “I grew up just across the street. This is my home and I love St. Andrew’s Church,” she added.

Her husband, Thomas, is a Country Style Furniture Manufacturer, exporting his work to various parts of the world. “I was born and raised in New York. That’s where I met my dearest wife,” he said. “We came here because Rochelle’s family is from Anguilla and wanted to celebrate with them. We are very happy to be here and so excited; and we hope that God will bless us on this lovely day.”

Rochelle is the daughter of Ms. Rhona Richardson, Adviser and Special Assistant for Education in the Ministry of Social Development in Anguilla and Dr. Eyston Hunte, an Anguillian Medical Doctor in Mobile, Alabama.

The wedding ceremony was conducted by the Rt. Reverend Errol Brooks, Bishop of the Diocese of the Northeastern Caribbean and Aruba. In his sermon he said that many men were discovering that they were to heed Paul’s admonition to love their wives and to respect them with the same level of respect a man demands for himself.
He stated that couples should have a genuine commitment “to love and respect each other until death do us part.” He advised that persons with a low level of commitment normally experience problems in their marriage.

”We live in a fast-changing world. It is inevitable that marriage will be affected by the changes that are taking place in our society,” Bishop Brooks continued. “There are some things about marriage that are better than even. There are other ways in which marriage is more challenging; but the secret of a successful marriage will never change.

‘St. Paul writes ‘let each one of you love his wife as themselves and let the wife see that she respects her husband.’

“Our wish for both of you today and in the days ahead is that your love for each other will continue to grow.”
