Man Charged With Jamida's Murder

Police in Anguilla announced on Tuesday, October 5, that a man was charged in connection with the murder of Jamida Webster of Island Harbour on or about March 13, 2003.

He is Steve Livingston Bryan, a 42-year-old fisherman formerly of Mount Fortune, Anguilla, who was residing in St. Martin.

He appeared in the Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday October 6 and was remanded in custody at Her Majesty’s Prison until November 9, where he will re-appear in court for mention of the case. A large crowd was in attendance at the brief court appearance.

Bryan was questioned by the police shortly after the school girl’s murder. There has been a long period of investigations since then, the latest being carried out with the assistance of a team of detectives from England and four Caribbean Overseas Territories.

The team is also investigating the murders of Courtney Hodge of East End and Roger Clarke (Pressure King) of Old Ta, as well as the disappearance of Jermaine Alexander (Sky) of East End.
