Congrats On New Airport

CONGRATS ON NEW AIRPORT

As a frequent visitor to Anguilla and an observer of its development over the years, I would like to congratulate the Government and people of the island on the expansion work now in progress at Wallblake Airport.

I am only sorry that due to a land matter it is not possible to proceed with the original plans for the airstrip which would have made it longer and therefore more accommodating for larger aircraft. Let us hope that something would be worked out in the long run.

I hope that the construction work will proceed smoothly and will be completed on schedule so that there will be no major disruption of flights into Anguilla. You have a good tourism industry and some great hotels. Everything must be done to protect and promote the industry.
