Rotary Club Supports Campus B Library


The Rotary Club of Anguilla thanks all those who contributed to the success of the Boat Race fundraiser to provide books and computers for the Campus B Library including the owners and crew of the 12 boats, the public and the volunteers from Campus B who helped collect funds on the day of the race.

Special thanks to the following sponsors: Caribbean Commercial Bank, Scotia Bank, National Bank of Anguilla, Benjamin Group of Companies, Intertrust, Keithley Lake and Associates, Courtney Abel and Associates, Ashley and Sons, Roy’s Restaurant, D-3 Enterprises, Kobbe Design, Anguilla Vision Centre, Rendezvous Bay Hotel, Wigley and Associates, Webster Dyrud and Mitchell, Achin Ehrdard, J&B Gases, Rhona Richardson, Paul Plank, Aronel Water, David Mayhew and Kelly Bailey.
The students of Campus B were also involved in helping to raise funds for their library. Thirty students responded to raising a total of EC$3,679. Special thanks to Asha Rogers, Jeriece Fleming and Brittany Christopher who raised EC$1,376. Also special mention of Quincy Gumbs, Delvicio McDonna, Kenare Busby, Tanika Lake, Darren Hamilton, Natalie Hawkins, Vallisa Davis, Jelani Banks, Olufunmike Banks Devonish, Kenroy Browne and Melissa Mussington who each raised more than $100. The combined effort of the boat race sponsors and Campus B raised a gross total of EC$22,625 for the Campus B school library.
In a related news item, the Rotary Club of Anguilla thanks all the business establishments and individuals who contributed to bringing the Jaws of Life equipment to Anguilla. The equipment is now on island and a trainer will be coming July 10 to 15 to train local police and other individuals to use the equipment. The Jaws of Life Rotary fundraiser collected US$20,000. Details of sponsors will be noted in a subsequent press release.
