Hall's Unique Bakery

Hall's Unique Bakery in the Valley is run by local baker Andre Hall. His bakery products and sandwiches are always fresh and tasty as evident by the number of cars always pulled up in front of the place. Order a tuna sandwich with a coconut tart for lunch and walk away in no time for about $ 5.00 EC. That is about $ 2.00 US. The roll is about 10 inches long and is Andres own style with a thick chewy crust. Also an excellent way to meet the locals because everyone knows what a great bargain you get at Halls.
Downside...As usual in bakeries, the small dining area is hot so most people order to take out.
Tel. 497-5538 to order ahead of time.

Gee Wees Bakery

Located in the South Hill Shopping Plaza next to Coleville Petty's Heritage Museum. Stop in to pick up a sandwich to go. They have a large selection to choose from and all are created while you wait. Bakery items and cakes are also availiable. You can call ahead and order a pizza to go. The staff at Gee Wees are friendly and eager to serve you. We stopped by recently and got 2 large sandwiches on toasty rolls and a large bottle of water for $ 7.00 US. That is hard to beat for a quick tasty lunch.
Downside...The bakery has an area for eating but the kitchen is very hot and so is the eat-in area. They do have some tables outside with umbrellas.
Tel. 497-6462 for call ahead orders or special orders.
