The Anguillian
Dear Sir:
Gangs in Anguilla??
I am in shock and awe about what is happening in your beautiful country. I was there in 2002. I cannot believe you guys are letting these drug gangs take over. Gangs are lame and you need to get that message out to the youth. Start some sport leagues in the east, west, north, and south if these youth are rivals. |

Dear Sir:
THINK AGAIN ABOUT
THAT BILL
Any knowledgeable person of Anguilla’s history or way of life will tell you that if someone touches the people’s land or house in any way that offends them there is going to be a big noise.

Dear Sir:
ADDRESS SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT NEEDS
I wish to congratulate The Anguillian on the fine display of information, writers’ columns and letters on its website which is a ready reference for persons like me who virtually live on the internet. I continue to keep in touch with the island and this short letter is proof of my continuing interest.

The Editor,
The Anguillian
Dear Sir:
TRAFFIC IS EVERYONE’S BUSINESS
The number of licensed vehicles in Anguilla is now approaching the ten thousand mark, and improvement in the movement of traffic may be a matter of life and death. Roads must be safe for everyone!

Dear Mr Editor
Rumours circulate in Anguilla readily, like in any other small community, and much of what you hear must be taken with a grain of salt. |

Dear Editor
I am concerned with developments over the summer to open another private school: the Anguilla International School. I am concerned about the way in which the principals of the school have gone about to undermine and destroy the TGOI. |

The Editor,
The Anguillian
Dear Sir:
ANGUILLA THE
GREATEST OF ALL
I write of the eve of departing Anguilla after two lovely weeks in your paradise island. This has been the first visit by my family, and I have been so fascinated by such an enjoyable time that I have carefully documented every stage of our travel, what we did and experienced in my diary. |

Dear Mr. Editor,
SPEAK BEFORE IT
IS TOO LATE
It was very heartening to see the letter to the Editor, entitled ‘Anguilla Inc. Open for Business’ in last week’s paper. I was beginning to think that all Anguillians were incapable of visualizing the future our leaders seem bent on subjecting us to.

Dear Mr. Editor
Anguilla Inc. Open
For Business
Who would have thought that this meant that all of Anguilla (our land and our people) was for sale and in some cases not even to the highest bidder?

Not Enough Information On Queen's Baton

The Editor
The Anguillian
Dear Editor,
NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION ON QUEEN’S BATON
A comment on yet another one of Anguilla’s well-kept secrets – the visit of the Queen’s Relay Baton for the XVIII Commonwealth Games, Melbourne, Australia 2006. I happened to hear of its impending arrival from a child who was chosen as a runner for her school. The ‘Anguillian’ newspaper published a full schedule of events on the same dates as these were taking place.

RESPONSE: HOW MANY
MORE MUST DIE?
I am writing in response to the letter: How Many More Must Die?
The 3 year old that was killed by dogs is truly a tragedy. However, let us not make a mistake in labeling certain breeds as ferocious dogs.

Stop The Gang Warfare
|
|

The Editor
The Anguillian
Dear Mr. Editor,
STOP THE GANG WARFARE
People leave their homes to enjoy themselves but instead they get caught up in these small village gangs who do not like that they are losing. Instead of behaving, they start a war and some innocent person gets the bullet.

The Editor
The Anguillian
Dear Mr. Editor,
HOW MANY MORE
MUST DIE?
I share in the grief and bitterness of all Anguillians over the tragic killing of little 3-year-old Amoreé Nwokejiobi by some dangerous dogs that we continue to allow to enter our country. Innocent little Amoreé should never have had to die that way.

Dear Sir:
LET IT BE A TEST CASE
I had intended to write you this letter when I got back in Atlanta from St. Thomas; but a visit to friends in St. Maarten, where I heard the embarrassing broadcast of the Anguilla House of Assembly swearing-in ceremony, has made me write sooner and on a different subject.
