The Anguilla Government in cooperation with the developers of the Temenos/St. Regis Golf Course Project took the opportunity of the public holiday on Tuesday, December 19, to arrange a tour of the property by the people of the island and to put on a big feast for them.

James Ronald Webster has been recorded in the history of Anguilla as having emerged as the island’s revolutionary leader following the 1967 revolution against the then Government of St. Kitts-Nevis headed by the late Premier Robert Bradshaw.

2006 has been another year of growth and development for Anguilla. The pace of economic change is constantly accelerating. All around, we can see the evidence, in the form of new shopping malls, resorts, and private homes being built. One outstanding development has been the opening of the beautiful new golf course, a major addition to the attractions Anguilla offers our visitors.

Fellow Anguillians and Residents I greet you in the spirit of the season. As I reflect upon the past months in this year, I am drawn to reflect on the goodness and faithfulness of God Almighty. Every year brings its own challenges and joys. This year I am numbered among those who have seen his tender mercies but I am not forgetful of those to whom he gave strength to endure their times of bereavement or loss of some kind this year.

The Community College Development Unit in Anguilla has held its first graduation ceremony following the completion of a series of hospitality training seminars by 58 students.
