STOPPING FLOODING AT QUEEN ELIZABETH AVENUE

Anguilla’s longstanding Local Preacher, Mrs. Candis Niles, who was formally recognised as a Methodist Minister since in May this year, following the Connexional Conference, is now continuing her ministerial training.
“It is not the final part of the step,” she told The Anguillian on Wednesday. “This is now the commencement of another four years of training. I will be going off from time to time on short study periods like during the summer and so on, and I will also be doing courses on the island.”

Two chefs from Anguilla represented the island at the premiere culinary event – Chefs and Champayne – the James Beard Foundation’s annual summer party in the Hamptons, New York.
They were Chef George Reid, Anguilla’s most highly-decorated Executive Chef and Chef de Partie, Jordel Gumbs, a silver medal finalist of Anguilla’s 2011 Culinary Team. Both are employees at Aleta Restaurant, Viceroy Resort Anguilla.
