Anguilla Hawksbill Turtle Troubles Continue

As recently reported in The Anguillian, a magnificent Hawksbill Turtle toppled into a nearly empty pool at the old Fountain Beach Hotel at the western tip of Shoal Bay East and almost drowned. She landed upside down with her head under several inches of fetid water. Fortuitously, she was flipped onto her belly by a passerby and finally rescued by Mr. Patrick Webster of Island Harbour. Ultimately, after being documented and tagged by the Fisheries officers, she returned to the sea but without laying any eggs.

That date will mark exactly 25 years since the passage of the Social Security Act (1980) in the House of Assembly on November 3rd, 1980.
