Every Friday at 4 p.m. in recent days, the management team of Social Security meets under the leadership of Director Timothy Hodge to work out the details of the 2008 operational budget.

A public forum was held at the Teacher’s Resource Centre Auditorium to release and discuss the financial statement and independent auditor’s report to the public. The meeting began at 7:00pm on Thursday, November 1, and among the SSB staff were prominent members of society such as the Speaker of the House Mr. David Carty, the Honourable Mr. Victor Banks, and Dr. Aidan Harrigan.

Mr. Leslie Eustace Richardson, until recently Senior Manager at the Caribbean Commercial Bank, one of two indigenous banking institutions in Anguilla, has the distinction of being the first employee of the bank who, having retired, is now back as one of its Directors. He has in fact held the dual positions as Senior Manager and Director and is continuing in the latter post to which he was elected.

The arrival of H.E. The Governor Mr. Andrew George marked the start of the Business After Hours session at Cable & Wireless on Wednesday, October 31. After returning from a month abroad, the Governor arrived promptly at 5:25 pm to take part in this joint venture between the Anguilla Chamber of Commerce and Cable & Wireless. The 320 employees at CuisinArt Resort and Spa have undergone a week-long in-house training programme as final preparations were being made for the re-opening of the hotel on Monday, October 29.
